frequently asked questions
What are your name and pronouns?
I have more names than some Tolkien characters, but Noonlight works fine. They/them, please. How do you make gifs?
I use ezgif (and I mostly don’t mess with coloring and similar, I just find footage I like the look of already.) See this post. How do you make stimboards?
See this post. What is a visual stim?
See this post.Is it okay to spam reblog?
Go ahead! I have notifications turned off and I don’t check my activity, so I probably won’t even notice, but if I do notice I find it flattering. Is it okay to tag your posts as aesthetic?
Yes, it is. This blog is full of things that I, personally, find satisfying to look at; they’re supposed to be aesthetic! What kinds of visual stims do you like?
Lots of them! Particular favorites include paint making, iridescence, timelapses, cake decoration, and the ocean. Can I get a promo? Will you reblog my donation post?
Sorry, no; as a policy this blog doesn’t reblog promo or donation posts, and I try to keep reblogs that aren’t of my own posts to a minimum in general.
blog rules
I respond privately to most asks so as not to spam people’s dashboards, but if you particularly want an ask responded to privately or kept anonymous just tell me so.
I don’t answer discoursey asks unless I think it would be funny.
Feel free to spam like/reblog; I probably won’t notice but if I do I’ll think it’s sweet.
I don’t reblog donation posts. If you send me multiple messages asking me to reblog your donation post, I’ll answer the first and delete the rest.
I cannot use tone indicators and would prefer that you not use them with me. There’s nothing objectively wrong with them, this isn’t a discourse opinion, they just don’t work for me.
If requests are open, I will take stimboard requests based on pride flags, colors, general themes like “forests” or “sunsets,” types of stims, etc.
If requests are open, I may take requests for specific fictional characters, at my own discretion.
Even if requests are open, I will not take requests for fictional characters I have never heard of. I am aware that you have no way of knowing who I have or haven't heard of. Sorry.
Even if requests are generally open, I will not take requests for real people, homestuck, minecraft, body stims, or slime. This is not for discourse reasons and should not be taken as a discourse opinion.
I reserve the right to delete any ask or request for any or no reason.
reasons I might delete an ask
You sent that request when requests were closed
I don't know what or who that is
You were rude when you asked
The stims you asked for are nigh impossible to find
I have an idiosyncratic personal allergy to that show / comic / game / whatever
I have an idiosyncratic personal allergy to that type of stim
There was nothing wrong with the request but I have three papers and a problem set to do by Monday and the idea of adding another thing to my to-do list makes me want to scream
In general, I try to respond to asks and say “no” if I’m not going to do something, but because I am a human person with a limited amount of time and bandwidth this does not always happen. sorry!

People I will block if I notice them include:
radical feminists (including but not limited to terfs)
trans exclusionists (including but not limited to terfs)
tankies (USSR stans, maoists, and apologists for the atrocities of communist regimes in general)
white supremacists

people who put NSFW in my comments or replies
I’m aware that this is unlikely to dissuade people from interacting with me. It’s not really meant to. It’s just a head’s up of who I will predictably block if I notice them, because I think that if you don’t want someone interacting with you it’s polite to tell them so.It is also not a comprehensive list of people I disagree with or disapprove of. It’s not a list of all my discourse stances, or even of all the discourse stances that are important to me. It’s just a list of people who it will bother me, personally, for my own idiosyncratic reasons, to see in my notes. Listing something does not mean I think they’re exactly as bad as white supremacists; not listing something does not mean I agree with them and think they’re great, or even that they’re harmless.I believe that DNI pages are not for listing all your opinions, and if I treated mine like a place to list all of my opinions, we’d be here all day. What they’re for is setting boundaries, and these are mine. If you have different boundaries than I have, that’s fine! But please extend me the same respect.
